A new Lychee Field Guide has been produced for all Australian lychee growers to assist with identifying any pests or diseases which growers may find in their orchards.
The project was led by Yan Diczbalis of Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Queensland (DAF) in collaboration with the Australian Lychee Growers Association (ALGA). The editorial team interacted closely with DAF entomologists and pathologists to ensure the integrity of scientific names for insects, mites, diseases, natural enemies and exotic threats.
The Lychee Field Guides have been funded by Hort Innovation using lychee research and development levy and funds from the Australian Government. Hort Innovation is the grower-owned, not for profit research and development corporation for Australia’s horticulture industry.
